Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative's Climate-smart Commodities Program Informational Session

Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative's Climate-smart Commodities Program Virtual Informational Session

Learn how to use permanent cover crops in your operation

What if there was a way to boost your soil health, prevent erosion, reduce soil compaction, and increase water holding capacity while only planting once?

Oakville bluegrass is a permanent, drought tolerant cover crop that can reduce labor, wear and tear on equipment, fuel usage, and herbicides while preserving your soil for years to come. It falls dormant in summer so it doesn’t compete with your cash crop for water and nutrients. With proper management, it will last ten years or longer.

A recipient of a USDA Grant for Climate-smart Commodities, Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative invites you to an informational session to learn how you can maximize your savings while planting this exciting new cover crop.

Join Mike Morgenfeld, Managing Director of Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative and Amy Riley, Communications Manager to learn more about Oakville bluegrass and how you can save money on installation.

A short presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
