Program participants benefit from:
Financial incentives to adopt no-till cover cropping
Research on planting best practices
Planting technical education
Assistance in mitigating the expense of installation equipment
Regular collection and soil analysis to quantify soil carbon levels
Soil analysis to quantify soil carbon stocks
Marketing assistance to realize premium prices for implementing climate-smart practices
To apply for the incentive, you’ll need to provide the following which can be obtained from the FSA:
Farm, tract, and field numbers for the acreage you want to enroll
Your Core Customer ID (CCID)
A completed, current Form AD-2407 and Form AD-1026
A subsidiary print from the FSA (reflecting the completion of AD-2407 and AD-1026) and any farm maps provided
